For events longer than 90 minutes, two interpreters per language are recommended to ensure sustained quality and focus.
  • Language pair (common vs rare languages)

  • Specialization: medical, legal, technical content may command higher rates

  • Preparation time: glossaries, briefings, or dry runs

  • Duration and structure: single session vs multiple breakout rooms

  • Weekend or after-hours events may include surcharges

When are two interpreters per language needed?

Required:

  • Events longer than 60–90 minutes

  • Dense or technical content (e.g. scientific, legal, or political conferences)

  • Continuous sessions without regular breaks

  • Events with multiple sessions or fast-paced speakers

Recommended:

  • Any event longer than 2 hours, even with breaks

  • Online events that require steady pace or active interaction

  • Live panels or roundtable discussions

  • Marketing focus groups and surveys

→ A seamless experience for all participants, no matter the languages.

Hourly rate: €50 – €70 per interpreter

Factors That May Influence Cost
When is one interpreter enough?
  • Short events (max. 45–60 minutes)

  • Webinars with slow-paced speakers and clear structure

  • Focus groups or small meetings with limited interaction

  • When the budget is limited and the event is informal

Why are two interpreters necessary?

Simultaneous interpreting requires intense focus and cannot be sustained for long periods without a drop in quality. That's why two interpreters:

  • Alternate every 15–30 minutes

  • Support each other with notes and quick corrections

  • Help maintain the clarity and consistency of the message throughout the event

We also provide full technical setup for simultaneous interpretation, including equipment, platform integration, and on-site or remote coordination — so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
